  • Alumina hybrid plates need thicker ceramic layers (6-7mm) to defeat M855, adding weight — our SiC hybrid is 21% lighter.
  • Pure UHMWPE plates cannot stop M855 (SS109) penetrator rounds due to the steel tip piercing through the PE fibers — our SiC face shatters the penetrator on contact.
  • Boron Carbide hybrids achieve similar performance but at a 65% cost premium — our SiC design gives you the same defeat capability at a fraction of the price.
